Komlavi Atsou is an associate with Cavitch, Familo & Durkin. He focuses his practice in Employment and Labor Litigation, Business Litigation, General Civil Litigation, Class Action and Appellate Practice. Komlavi was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2008. Since then, he has been admitted to various federal courts, including the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Komlavi earned his J.D. and L.L.M. degrees, as well as an International Law Certificate with honors, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Komlavi was also the recipient of CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Pretrial Practice as well as a CALI Award recipient for Financial Institutions Integrity. While at Case Law, Komlavi served as the Associate Editor of the War Crimes Prosecution Watch and a Junior Research Associate of the Public International Law & Policy Group. Prior to attending Case Law, Komlavi earned a Master of Laws (civil law) degree from the University of Benin (now University of Lomé) in his native Togo, West Africa.

Before joining Cavitch, Komlavi served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Ohio Attorney General, Employment Law Section.

Komlavi is also actively involved in the community. He co-organized the 2009 District and Regional Ohio Mock Trial competitions, participated in Habitat for Humanity’s house building projects in Cleveland, and volunteered his time to help immigrants through the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.
