Mohammed J. Bidar, a partner with Cavitch, has substantial experience in all aspects of a sophisticated business practice with a concentration in estate and trust planning, business succession planning, charitable giving, asset protection, and probate and trust administration.
His clients include high net worth individuals, corporate executives, exempt organizations, and closely held businesses and their owners. Areas in which Mo has advised clients include revocable trust planning to obtain tax advantages, generation skipping trusts, and trusts designed to avoid probate or to provide for management of assets. He also has experience with irrevocable trust and gift planning, including life insurance trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, and sales to intentionally defective grantor trusts.
Mo has helped clients with charitable planning, including organization of tax-exempt entities, creation of charitable remainder trusts and establishing private foundations. He frequently deals with issues related to entity formation and organization of family limited partnerships and liability companies, and trusts for S corporation ownership.

Mo is a much sought-after speaker on issues related to estate planning, particularly for physicians and business owners. Some of the organizations Mo has spoken before include physician groups, hospitals, assisted living communities, corporations and professional societies.
He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Trust Law Section. Mo is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, the FBI Citizen’s Academy Foundation, a Life Member of the Judicial Conference of the Eighth Judicial District, and has served on the boards of many corporations and charities.
He received his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1984 and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1981.
