Robert M. Nelson's practice focuses primarily on estate planning and probate administration. He also practices in the general business area, particularly on matters relating to business entity formation and securities law compliance.

Bob is a frequent author on a variety of topics. Some of his articles include “
Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Section 14(a),” and “Tax Deductibility of Insider Profit Repayments: Resolving an Apparent Conflict,” both of which were published in the Case Western Reserve Law Review. He has also been a co-editor of Matthew Bender & Co.’s Ohio Transaction Guide and Current Legal Forms since 1976. Bob has been an instructor in Economics and Money, Credit and Banking at Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bob attended the University of Notre Dame Law School, and attained his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve School of Law in 1971. While he was in law school, he was Note Editor for the Case Western Reserve Law Review. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from John Carroll University in 1968.

Bob is a member of the Order of the Coif, an honor society for lawyers who graduate in the top ten percent of their class, and is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.

Bob and his wife, Carole, live in Bay Village, Ohio, have three children and are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren.
