Roy A. Krall is a Shareholder with over three decades of experience, maintaining offices in both Akron and Cleveland. He is a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the Ohio State Bar Association, and a valued member of the Cavitch Team. His practice focuses on estate planning, trust and probate law, and business law.

Roy was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1989 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, and the Internal Revenue Service.

A dedicated educator, Roy taught Estate and Gift Tax as an adjunct professor at the University of Akron School of Law in 1997 and 1998 and is a frequent lecturer and journalist on estate-related topics. In 2003, he was among the first in Ohio to be designated as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the Specialty Board of the Ohio State Bar Association. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) since 2007 and a past Chair of the Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section at the Ohio State Bar Association. Currently, he serves as a Fellow of the Akron, Cleveland and Ohio State Bar Foundations and is an Associate Editor of the Probate Law Journal of Ohio, a bi-monthly publication intended to keep Ohio estate practitioners current.

Roy’s distinguished career is further marked by numerous accolades. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating and has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer in Estate Planning & Probate every year since 2007 by Law & Politics Media, Inc. Additionally, he has been named as one of the Best Lawyers in America for Trusts and Estates every year since 2006 and has been listed in Chambers High Net Worth since 2021.

Beyond his practice, Roy serves on gift committees for several area nonprofit organizations and continues to participate as a Member of the Council of, and several committees formed by, the Estate Planning Trust and Probate Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association. Prior to attending law school, Roy gained valuable experience as an actuary for a year at Buck Consultants in New York City.
