Amanda May

Amanda C. May joined the law firm of Cavitch Familo & Durkin in September of 2019 as an associate attorney. Amanda is a member of the Estate Planning Group, Business Practice Group, and Litigation Practice Group. Amanda customizes and reviews estate plans, administers estates, prepares tax returns, prepares corporate and real estate records, and researches tax and real estate matters as they arise. She counsels clients on both estate planning and probate matters. She is passionate about planning for the future and enjoys working with clients to help them achieve their goals of caring for their family now and after their lifetime.

Amanda earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law, Cum Laude. Throughout law school, Amanda was a member of the Akron Law Moot Court Honor’s Society team, a Contracts ASP Fellow/Student Teacher, a member of Phi Delta Phi Honors Society, and participant in the Immigration and Human Rights Legal Clinic.

Prior to law school, Amanda earned her undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Philosophy from Malone University. While attending Malone, Amanda was the captain of the women’s soccer team, an active member of Student Counsel, and the women’s soccer representative for the Student-Athletics Advisory Committee. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing soccer, and being outdoors.
