Amanda C. May is an experienced estate planner who joined Cavitch Familo & Durkin in 2019 as an attorney. She is a valued member of the firm’s Estate Planning and Business Practice Groups. Amanda’s practice focuses on customizing and reviewing estate plans, as well as trust and estate administration. She also prepares various tax returns, manages corporate and real estate records, and researches complex tax and real estate issues. As a current member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and The Cleveland Bar Association, Amanda is deeply committed to counseling clients on both proactive estate planning and probate matters. She is passionate about helping clients secure their family’s future and achieve their long-term financial goals.
Amanda earned her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the University of Akron School of Law, where she was active in the Akron Law Moot Court Honor’s Society team, served as a Contracts ASP Fellow/Student Teacher, and was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honors Society and the Immigration and Human Rights Legal Clinic. She holds undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Philosophy from Malone University. While attending Malone, Amanda was the captain of the women’s soccer team, an active member of Student Counsel, and the women’s soccer representative for the Student-Athletics Advisory Committee.
Outside of her professional life, Amanda is happily married and has a daughter, experiences that further fuel her dedication to helping families plan for their future. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors.
