Providing Solutions To Complex Legal Issues
Focusing her practice on estate planning, trust administration, and probate, Angela helps clients develop estate plans that protect and transition assets while minimizing estate and gift taxes. Following the death of a loved one, she provides compassionate guidance, often helping clients navigate complex family dynamics. She also counsels fiduciaries, including executors and trustees, and advises beneficiaries on tax-saving strategies such as portability and 754 and 6166 elections. In addition, she has been successful in obtaining Private Letter Rulings from the Internal Revenue Service.
Angela earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Cincinnati. After a successful business career, she pursued her legal education at Cleveland State University College of Law, where she excelled academically, earning numerous academic and writing awards and graduating magna cum laude. As Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Health, she sharpened her editorial skills. To gain an in-depth understanding of taxation, she completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law.
Her legal career began at a large Cleveland firm before she transitioned to solo practice in southeastern Ohio. Upon returning to Cleveland, she joined Cavitch, refocusing her practice on estates and trusts.
Angela is an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Section Council, collaborating with top practitioners across the state to shape policy, propose legislative updates, and provide guidance on emerging estate and trust law issues. Additionally, she is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and serves on the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Admissions Committee, conducting character and fitness interviews for bar applicants and out-of-state attorneys seeking admission without examination.
