Morgan Schweighoefer

Morgan A. Schweighoefer joined the law firm of Cavitch Familo & Durkin in the Spring of 2021. Morgan is a member of the Business Practice Group, Litigation Practice Group, Employment Law Group, and Estate Planning Group and focuses her practice in the areas of general corporate matters, commercial litigation, employment law, succession planning, and estate planning. Morgan has advised clients on topics related to these issues, such as business and non-profit formation, corporate proceedings, including drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts and agreements. She has also advised clients on lease preparations and review, residential and commercial evictions, as well as business succession, estate planning, and probate matters. Morgan is also a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Certified Grievance Committee which conducts investigations into claims of ethical wrongdoings by attorneys and files complaints with the Board of Professional Conduct of the Supreme Court of Ohio in cases where disciplinary measures are warranted.  

Morgan earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law, Cum Laude, in December 2020. Throughout law school, Morgan was a Phi Delta Phi Honors Society member and participated in numerous volunteer activities. Before law school, Morgan earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the College of Wooster and her Master of Public Administration from Kent State University with a focus on public management. Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and son in her spare time.
